 what is Orange Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is an acronym for the term Wireless Fidelity. Wi-Fi is known as wireless local area network operating in license free ISM 2.4GHz band. This network is defined by the standard IEEE 802.11b.

Wi-Fi devices (Access points and terminal devices such as PCs, Laptops, PDAs) in the network communicate within the coverage area which typically have radius of up to 150 feet in free space. Bandwidth available on a channel is shared by all stations within the wireless cell. On IEEE 802.11b equipment, 11Mbps bandwidth is available.

On three independent channels, products based on IEEE 802.11b standard are also used for outdoor applications. Wi-Fi networks are getting very popular for high speed access to Internet in public places called hotspots or zones
