Important to know

1) When roaming you will still benefit from most of your favorite services (CLI, CLIR, Call wait/hold, Conference call, Data, Fax, etc.).
2) Quality of the mobile service when roaming depends mostly of the roaming partner, especially on its coverage
3) When calling an Orange - mobile subscriber you have to dial + 962 777 followed by the 6 digits number. Jordan mobile networks operate on 900 MHz frequencies.
4) Some GSM partners may operate on (1800 or 1900) in this case you need to adapt your handset (dual band / tri band) to be able to roam on these operators.
5) As you are paying a part of incoming calls, you might be willing to bar incoming calls when roaming. If you have subscribed to the call baring service, you can activate the baring of incoming calls when roaming via the settings menu on your mobile phone.

Network Selection

Abroad, you have access to all the networks with which Orange - mobile has signed agreements; there can be several networks per country. If your phone is:
on automatic mode your telephone will connect on the first network available or on the network offering the better reception quality,
on manual selection mode, you will be able to choose one network over the others according to your preferences Over limit of Call value. (Exceeding the deposit)
If you exceed the limit of your deposit, the service might be subject to temporary disconnection. To avoid this problem, you can:
1- Increase your deposit at any Orange - mobile shop.
2- Before leaving, authorize another person to raise the deposit limit when you are outside of Jordan.
3- Authorize a direct debit from a bank account or credit card.
To know more about roaming and coverage, visit our coverage section or dial 00962 777 700177.
