The Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) is the standard telephone service. It includes:

 

1. Local calls: all calls you make from your fixed line to another fixed line within the same governorate you live in. It does not require adding an area code and its details are not shown in your bill.
2. National calls: all calls you make from your fixed line to another fixed line outside the governorate you live in. It requires adding an area code before dialing the desired number and its details are shown in your bill.
3. International calls: all calls you make from your fixed line to a number outside of Jordan. It requires adding a country code and an area code and its details are shown in your bill.
4. Fixed line to mobile calls: all calls you make from your fixed line to a mobile line. It requires adding the operators code (please see below) and its details are shown in your bill.

5. Fixed line to pager calls: all calls you make from your fixed line to a pager. It requires adding 074 before dialing and its details are shown in your bill.
