It is the service that provides you with the ability communicate with your loved ones across Jordan and abroad through your landline telephone. It is also the service that serves as the foundation of your ADSL internet lines.

2-What are the benefits of this service?

Our fixed line service will offer you the following benefits that you will enjoy through your landline telephone at all times:

A) Strong reception and stable coverage across the Kingdom
B) Affordable rates for local, national and international calls
C) The base of having an ADSL connection

10- Is there a commitment period for the Alo Fixed packages?

​No, these packages do not have a commitment period.

​Yes, the subscription to our No place like home offer is subject to 2 years commitment.

15- Is there any set up fees that I have to pay for installing my fixed line?

​No, you do not have to pay any setup fees to install your fixed line and it is totally free.

16- Are there any special fees that I have to pay for setting up my fixed line service?

​Yes, to set up your fixed line service you have to pay a deposit and the fee differs upon the nationality of the customer.

17- What is the fixed line deposit for Jordanians?

​The deposit fee for Jordanians is JD 7.5 without the activation of the international calls and it costs JD 15 upon having them activated

18- What is the fixed line deposit for non Jordanians?

​The deposit fee for non Jordanians is JD 25 without the activation of the international calls and it costs JD 50 upon having them activated

19- Are there any additional services that I can subscribe to get the best out of my fixed line subscription?

​To maximize your benefit from our fixed line subscription, we provide you with our supplementary services that you can subscribe to any of them.

21- What is your voice mail?

​With ease you can activate the voice mail service and obtain your voice messages through your fixed line by dialing (1544) and while you are outside Jordan by dialing (009621544) and listen to your voice messages that your landline received during your absence for free.

22- What are the main features of the voice mail service?

​- Receive your calls when you are busy or unable to answer your call
- Capacity to receive 40 voice messages
- Ability to keep non-played messages for up to 28 days
- Ability to listen, erase, save, reply and transfer the messages that callers have left to you on your fixed line phone
- Ability to save the time and date on of the incoming voice message
- Receive a phone call to inform your about new voice messages in your inbox; you can receive the call on your main number or on an alternative number
- Ability to secure your voice mail messages with a password that is required to be entered when your are accessing your voice mailbox from another landline phone

23- Can I use the voice mail service with other additional services?

​- The use of voice mail with caller ID service:
This service allows you to know the number of the person calling you on your landline, in case you don’t want to reply, the voice mail will open after 5 rings
- The use of voice mail with call forwarding service:
Your voice mail cannot receive the calls made to your fixed line in case you forward your calls to another number
- The use of voice mail service with call waiting:
This service allows you to talk to two parties simultaneously over your land line, in case you don’t want to answer another call, your voice mail service will reply after 5 rings

 

Notes 
- Your voice mail will be cancelled automatically in case you didn’t use it for 2 months. To reactivate, you have to subscribe again through visiting the nearest shop or by calling our customer care center at 1214
- When requested to enter your phone number, this should be of 9 digits; example (06-your seven digit number)
- Your password can be from (4 to 6 digits)
- Enter the password only in remote access and in outcall notification.

At any time when using your voice mail you can
- Press * to cancel last action and go back one step
- Press 0 for help

24- How to activate the voice mail service on my fixed line?

​- Dial 1444
- Dial 1 for Arabic or 2 for English
- Follow the instructions given by the automated operator to enter your password
- Enter your 4-6 digits password followed by #
- Enter your password again to verify followed by #

25- How to send a voice message through your voice mail?

​ From the main menu of the voice mail service
- Press 4 to send a voice message
- Enter the destination number* followed by #
- Record the message
- Press 2 to send the message

Note

 

the destination number could be a fixed or a mobile number, the mobile number should be an Orange mobile number and should have a mailbox

 

26- How to prepare my personal voice mail greeting message?

​From the main menu of our voice mail service

- Press 2 to modify your personal voice mail options
- Press 1 to program your personal voice mail box greeting
- Press 1 to record your personal greeting
- Press 2 to record your voice signature (example: your name, to be used to tell callers that they have reached your voice mail box)

 

Example for a voice mail personal greeting:
“Thanks for calling. I am not able to answer you now, so please leave your name and your message after the tone, I’ll call you later.”

 

27- How to change the time of my notification call?

​From the main features menu
- Press 2 for the personal voice mail options menu
- Press 3 outcall notification menu
- Press 1 to be in or out of the service
- Press 2 to amend or recreate the notification call timing
- Press 1 to keep or modify your weekend schedule*
- Press 2 to keep or modify your weekday schedule*
- Press 2 to receive the notification calls through an alternative number
- Specify the alternative phone number that you will receive the notification calls on through (it could be a mobile, a fixed number or a mobile from any other operator).

Note
To enter the time that you will receive the notification call at, you have to enter the hour as a number from 0 to 23 then the minute as two digits from 00 to 59, then press #

 

27- How do you listen to my voice mail messages?

​Dial 1444 from your landline phone

28 - How to listen to my voice messages from another number?

- Dial 1544
- Enter your telephone number of 9 digits; example (06-your seven digits number)
- Enter your password followed by #

Note:

 

2 piasters/minute is the price for remote access to your voicemail box

 

29 - How to change my password?

​- Press 2 for the personal voice mail options menu
- Press 2 to change password
- Enter your new password (4-6 digits) then press #

30 – What are the actions that I can perform after listening to each voice message?

 After hearing each message
- Press 1 to hear your voice message again
- Press 2 to save the message (your voice message is saved for 7 days)
- Press 3 to cancel it 
- Press 4 to reply to the voice message, record your reply, then press 2 to send your message and your reply will be sent to the  caller’s landline number
- Press 5 to forward the message, enter the destination*, press 2 to send your voice message
- To add a comment press 1, record your comment, and then press 2 to send your comment.

 

Note
the destination number could be fixed or mobile, the mobile number should be an Orange mobile number and should have a mail box

31- What is your caller ID service?

​With our caller ID service you can get the benefit of knowing who is calling you on your landline telephone and the option of answering or not. Never worry about missing a call again.

32- What can you tell me about your call waiting service?

​As you engaged in a call on your landline, you can receive another incoming call with a simple click of the “Flash” button on your telephone. A tone will sound to alert you that there is someone on the other line

33- How can I activate the call waiting service?

36- What are the features of your call barring service?

​Deactivate the international and national calls, as well as calls to mobiles (zero cancelation) yet continue to receive incoming calls. Our call barring service allows you to stay in control of your telephone calls and your budget.

​In case of emergencies, just hold the receiver for five seconds and a pre-saved emergency number will be dialed automatically
