Orange Jordan supports SignBook to offer Iftaa services for deaf people

 

Orange Jordan offered its support to enable people with hearing disabilities to benefit from the sign language translation through SignBook application, to answer their questions from the General Iftaa Department for the first time in the Kingdom, whereby the interpreter calls the Iftaa Department directly to send the Fatwa issue and then translates the answer directly to the deaf caller. 

 

People with hearing disabilities can send their Fatwa inquiries to 0777981460 from Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 AM till 2:00 PM according to the General Iftaa Department's working hours.  

 

The company was keen to partner with SignBook and the General Iftaa Department, within its framework as a responsible digital leader to enhance the inclusion of people with disability, aiming to provide them with essential and various services, where the effective communication with the Iftaa department using the sign language through the visual communication app will make it easier for them to get fatwas in the best way.

 

Orange Jordan stressed that it is carrying many programs for people with disabilities under its umbrella "Differently abled, definitely enabled," to allow them to benefit from services and communicate with the different parties, including the cooperation with SignBook and the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities since the beginning of the pandemic to enable the access to the Ministry of Health COVID inquiries hotline and emergencies, especially under the exceptional measures at the time such as curfews.

 

Orange Jordan adopts the SignBook app in many of its showrooms after its proven efficiency in offering communicating in sign language and its ease of use, noting that SignBook was one of the startups that joined BIG by Orange, the startup accelerator program, and it achieved noticeable growth and expansion in the Kingdom.
